DOTS secured the business of a leading UK college.
Current Scenario
Previously the current supplier, of their copiers, was uninterested and unreliable. There were far too many printers distributed to whoever requested them. The college spent a small fortune on printer inks and consumables, with only service on the copier machines. The drive from the senior management team was to reduce cost and track print & copy use down to a user level.
New Solution
The new solution delivered all of the college’s goals: Reliability, speed, ease of use and total support.
The new installation of seven new high speed colour units and two high volume mono machinery plus a reduced number of networked printers. All of these are supported by DOTS and the manufacturers own service team,
proved to be a winner. The new MFD and printers are cheaper to run and with the addition of Papercut, each user now had an account limit applied. This has reduced costs by 28.7% annually.
Summary
DOTS delivered a solution which has substantially improved the way the college works. The Print Room manager commented: “The new machinery from DOTS enabled us the save money over the old machinery, which amazed us. I was sceptical at first but the both the colour MFD and the workhorse have proven to be very reliable. ”The Service team chosen by DOTS now numbers over 900 field based technicians have been responsible for ensuring their ongoing satisfaction.
